Doctor of Philosophy Program in Information Technology

Curriculum Status
The curriculum has been commenced since August 2023.
Qualifications of Applicants
☒ Applicants must hold a master’s degree or equivalence or a bachelor’s degree with honor. These requirements are in accordance as specified in the Regulation of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang on Graduate Study 2022 (Appendix A).
☒ Further qualifications:
- Applicants hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology from an educational institute certified by Thailand’s Office of the Civil Service Commission, OR
- Applicants hold a master’s degree in computer science of information technology and have taken at least 15 credits of courses in these fields at an educational institute certified by Thailand’s Office of the Civil Service Commission
- Applicants hold a graduate degree in another field of study but are approved to be admitted by the Curriculum Implementation Committee.
Selection Method
- A student must pass a written examination. The written examination evaluates the reasoning and analytical expertise in Artificial Intelligence for Business Analytics.
- If the student passes the written examination, the student must submit an English proficiency score* in order to have an interview examination.
- Apart from the written and interview examinations, the student must have an adviser’s letter of recommendation to posses the right to study. The adviser must be the member of the faculty.
Educational System
One academic year is divided into two regular semesters, and one regular semester is at least 15 weeks of teaching and learning. However, there is a summer semester, of which the proportion between the content of the course and the teaching and learning time is set to be comparable to that of a regular semester.
All requirements and conditions are as stated in the 2022 regulations of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang regarding graduate study.

Program Duration
A student must complete all the requirements for the doctoral degree within 6 years.
