Master of Science
Program in Information Technology
Admission Requirements
- A student should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalence.
- A student should possess one of the following qualifications.
Subject Area: Information Science, Information System Technology and Network System Technology
- Graduate a Bachelor of Computer Science or Information Technology or Computer Engineering from an Institute accredited by the commission of higher education or
- Complete a Bachelor of Computer related fields or Information Technology at least 30 credits from an Institute accredited by the commission of higher education or
- Approved by the Academic Committee.
Subject Area: Information Technology And Management & Data Technology And Innovation
- Graduate a Bachelor from an Institute accredited by the commission of higher education or
- Approved by the Academic Committee.
Selection Method
A student is selected in accordance with the regulations of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in the section of admission for Graduate Studies.
Formal Education System
- This curriculum uses a semester system. One academic year consists of 2 regular semesters.
- In one regular semester, duration of study is conducted at least 15 weeks.

- Semester 1: August-December

Program Duration
A student must complete all the requirements for the doctoral degree with 5 years.
Evaluation Methods
For Plans A1 and A2, the assessment is as follows.
- A progressive report evaluated by a thesis advisor per semester
- A thesis proposal examination assessed by a Thesis Committee which comprises of at least 3 members.
- His/her research must be published in
a. the proceedings, or
b. the transactions, or
c. the research work which has a reliable reviewing committee,
all given options must be in the approved list of the Faculty, and complied with the regulations of the Institute for Graduate Studies, 2016, section 15. - A final oral examination evaluated by a Thesis Committee which consists of at least 5 members. One of the members must be an eminent academic person selected from the external well-known Institute.
For Plan B, the assessment consists of
- A progressive report during semester (Independent Study 1 and Independent Study 2) evaluated and suggested by an adviser for improvement,
- An oral examination for considering scope of study, solving approach, reviewing the knowledge of a student in Independent Study 1 evaluated by an Examining Committee which consists of at least 3 members,
- A final oral examination in Independent Study 2 assessed by an Examining Committee which consists of at least 3 members, and
- Comprehensive Examination.
