2. Master Degree Program in Information Technology 

Applicant’s qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering from an educational institute certified by Thailand’s Office of the Civil Service
    Commission.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 30 completed credits in computer and information technology (a copy of the transcript can be submitted to the faculty by email, to atcharaphorn@it.kmitl.ac.th), or
  • Admission is approved by the graduate admission committee of the School of Information Technology.

3. Doctor of Philosophy Program in Information Technology (International Program)

Regular students

To apply to our program, prospective students are required to have the following qualifications:

  • Applicants hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology from an educational institute certified by Thailand’s Office of the Civil Service Commission with a cumulative average score of not less than 3.25, or
  •  Applicants hold a master’s degree in computer science or information technology and have taken at least 1 5 credits of courses in these fields at an educational institute certified by Thailand’s Office of the Civil Service CommissionRemark: Applicants hold a graduate degree in another field of study but are approved to be admitted by the Curriculum Implementation Committee.
  • Applicants intended to study in the doctoral degree program must achieve a minimum required  scores from one of the certified tests listed in the table below:

  • The test result must not be older than two years before the date that the result is declared, and it has to be submitted on the date of application into the program
  • For applicants interding to study in the doctoral degree program, during the process of applying for or waitng for the English proficiency test .   • In the case that the applicant has graduated from an institute in a country of which English is an official language or from a degree program in  which the medium for communication is English, he or she will not need to present the score of a standard English test. He or She can file a request and present the required pieces of evidence to the academic section that has admitted him or her into the program.

Trial student

  • To apply as a trial student, the applicant must have completed a master’s degree in any field of study from an institute certified by Thailand’s Office of the Civil Service Commission.

Remark:  The candidates must check the requirements above thoroughly before applying. The School of Information Technology reserves the right to dismiss any applications if the submitted information or evidence are found to be false with a strict no-refund policy.

4. Application Method

  • Applicants can fill out the online application form at http://www.reg.kmitl.ac.th and print to the invoice to make a payment for the application fee at any branch of Kasikorn Bank , the application fee is 500 bath

5. Contacting the thesis advisor

After applying for admission (via the Internet),the applicant must do the following:

  • The applicant must get in touch with an instructor and request him or her to be their advisor; the list of such instructors along with their research achievements can be found at https://www.it.kmitl.ac.th/en/staff/
  •  Applicants who have  that has already been accepted by an advisor need to submit a photocopy of his or her transcript, an official document certifying the advisor’s acceptance of the applicant, a completed research topic and thesis advisor proposal form and a recommendation document; These forms can be downloaded below, and they must be submitted on the interview day

  • Applicants who have not yet had a thesis advisor must submit all specified documents to Ms. Acharaporn Dueanklang, Office of Educational Service, School of Information Technology, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. She can be reached at  atcharaphorn@it.kmitl.ac.th. These documents together with comments from instructors will be used for finding a proper thesis advisor for the applicant (applicants can contact the instructor whom they would like to be their thesis advisor directly; no need to wait for the official process mentioned here).

7. Selection for admission

  • Interview examination
    Applicant who have the right to an interview examination must take the interview examination at the School of Information Technology; If the applicant does not come to the interview as scheduled, he or she will be considered waiving his or her right for admission.

8.  Credentials needed for the interview examination

  • A photocopy the applicant’s Identification card,
  • The payment slip from the bank,
  • A photocopy of the applicant’s transcript,
  • The English proficiency test results

9. Tuition fee

The selected applicants must make a payment for their tuition fee as follows,

For Doctor of Philosophy Degree

  • Regular students : 87,000 baht per semester;
  • Trial students: 12,000 baht per semester;

For master degree

  • Master  students: 45,000 baht per semester.

10.  New students reporting to the Institute

Applicants who have confirmed their right for admission and have paid for their tuition fee need to come in and report to the Institute at website www.reg.kmitl.ac.th

11. Scholarship

The School of Information Technology offers a scholarship that waives tuition fees. Students who have won the scholarship will be waived of the lump-sum payment of his or her tuition fee for not more than 3 years for the master-doctor program and not more than 4 years for the bachelor-doctoral degree program. 12. Time and place of study

Groups that study on official work days:  : Monday- Friday at 09.00am–04.00pm,
At the School of Information Technology, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.

 ** Students may have to attend classes on Saturdays and Sundays at 09.00am- 08.00pm at the School of Information Technology, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
