Kitsuchart Pasupa

I am a full professor (royally appointed) at the School of Information Technology, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand. I previously served as a visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna (India), the University of Leoben (Austria), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam), and Hokkaido University (Japan). Before joining KMITL, I was a research fellow in the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. During my career at Southampton, I also held visiting research fellow positions at University College London, Xerox Research Centre Europe (now NAVER LABS Europe), Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University), and the University of Leoben. Earlier, I worked as a research associate and completed my Ph.D. in the Computational Data Modelling Group in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

My research focuses on the design of machine learning methods for real-world applications, including chemoinformatics, eye-tracking, bioinformatics, and natural language processing. I am a Senior Member of the IEEE (Computational Intelligence Society) and the Asia Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS).

  • [18.01.2023] The University Council has just approved my professorship application, which I submitted on 31.08.2021. In the next step, the university will make arrangements to request a Royal Command, following the recommendation by the University Council, to appoint me as a full professor.
