AI in Education Scholarship Program
Types and Number of Scholarships (Total not exceeding 3 scholarships)
- Scholarships allocated to those selected to continue their doctoral studies under the general category for master’s to doctoral or bachelor’s to doctoral levels

** In case there are scholarships in any category not fully awarded, the remaining scholarships can be reallocated to other categories **
Amount of Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will be exempted from lump-sum tuition fees and monthly expenses based on the following conditions
- WAV Innovator Project bachelor’s degree recipients in year 4 will receive monthly expenses scholarship not exceeding 10,000 THB per month for up to 1 year, followed by a master’s scholarship in the following year
- Master’s degree scholarship recipients will receive monthly expenses scholarship not exceeding 20,000 THB per month for up to 2 years
- Doctoral degree scholarship recipients will receive monthly expenses scholarship not exceeding 23,000 THB per month for up to 3 years
Qualifications for Scholarship Applicants
- Master’s degree scholarship applicants must have a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.00 at the bachelor’s level or have at least 1 research publication indexed in SCOPUS or ISI (Web of Science)
- Doctoral degree scholarship applicants (applying with master’s degree qualifications) must have a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.50 at the master’s level and have at least 1 research publication indexed in SCOPUS or ISI (Web of Science)
- Doctoral degree scholarship applicants (applying with bachelor’s degree qualifications) must have a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.25 at the bachelor’s level and have at least 1 research publication indexed in SCOPUS or ISI (Web of Science)
- WAV Innovator Project bachelor’s degree scholarship applicants must have a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.00 (up to the last semester prior to application) or have at least 1 research publication indexed in SCOPUS or ISI (Web of Science)

Scholarship Application Process
- Applicants submit scholarship applications with supporting documents to the Education Service Office, School of Information Technology, completely via email:Witchayada@it.kmitl.ac.th
- Applicants must also apply for admission to the program and class group for which they are applying for scholarship
- Applicants who receive scholarships or research grants from other sources that overlap with this scholarship must express their intention to waive or terminate that scholarship if granted this scholarship
Completed scholarship application form with a 1-inch photo attached
- Copy of academic transcript
- Research publication (if any)
- Scholarship Recipient Selection
Scholarships for all applicant categories are selected based on interview scores for scholarship selection
- During the interview selection, scholarship applicants will present research work or thesis/project related to their undergraduate or master’s/doctoral studies or research plan to the committee for no longer than 15 minutes. Interview scores will consider presentation, Q&A, and academic records
- The committee’s decision regarding scholarship recipients for graduate studies is final
- Scholarship Conditions
Scholarship recipients must submit progress reports on academic performance and thesis work each semester to the School of Information Technology, perform tasks assigned by the school, and show academic progress as follows
- Recipients at master’s level Plan 1.1 (Plan K1) and WAV Innovator Project bachelor’s
- Attend research work at the School of Information Technology at least 4 days per weekSubmit a Literature Review report within the 1st semester of the normal study plan
- Serve as a teaching assistant (1st time) for at least one course offered by the School of Information Technology in the 2nd semester of the normal study plan or other assigned work
- Submit thesis topic draft and present thesis topic within the 3rd semester of the normal study plan
- Receive acceptance for at least one research publication in international databases SCOPUS or Web of Science (WOS), and listed in journals or conferences approved by the Academic Subcommittee by the 3rd semester
- Serve as a teaching assistant (2nd time) for at least one course offered by the School of Information Technology in the 4th semester or other assigned work
- Have at least one research work or innovation related to AI in Education
- Recipients at doctoral level
- Attend research work at the School of Information Technology at least 4 days per week
- Submit a Literature Review report within the 1st semester of the normal study plan
- Serve as a teaching assistant (1st time) for at least one course offered by the School of Information Technology in the 2nd semester or other assigned work
- Pass qualifying exam within the 2nd semester
- Receive acceptance for the 1st research article within the 3rd semester in SCOPUS or ISI (Web of Science), in journals or conferences approved by the Academic Subcommittee
- Serve as a teaching assistant (2nd time) for at least one course offered by the School of Information Technology in the 4th semester or other assigned work
- Submit thesis topic draft and present thesis topic within the 4th semester
- Receive acceptance for the 2nd research article within the 5th semester in SCOPUS or Web of Science (WOS), in journals or conferences approved by the Academic Subcommittee
- Serve as a teaching assistant (3rd time) for at least one course offered by the School of Information Technology in the 6th semester or other assigned work
- Have at least two research works or innovations related to AI in Education
