

School of Information Technology KMITL studies work at 2 places at Mahidol University; exchange AUN approaches and quality assurance to elevate operations towards excellence
On September 14, 2026, the School of Information Technology, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Olan Wongwirat (Deputy Dean), Assistant Professor Dr. Kamol Wasapinyokul (Deputy Dean), Assistant Professor Dr. Pattanapong Chantamittopas (Chair of Information Technology Program), along with faculty staff, studied work and exchanged knowledge on educational quality development and organizational management at Mahidol University. The study visits were at 2 places: the School of Information Technology and Communication, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) and the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, to exchange knowledge, experience, and useful practices to develop the faculty’s operational system.
Initially, the study group traveled to the School of Information Technology and Communication, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), Salaya campus, where they were welcomed by Dr. Phattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the School of Information Technology and Communication, Mahidol University, along with Dr. Wannarat Santiomornrat, Deputy Dean; Assistant Professor Dr. Jidapha Kraisang, Assistant Dean for Curriculum Development; Dr. Sujika Srinantakul, Assistant Dean for Quality Development and Knowledge Management; and related staff at room IT404, ICT Mahidol.
The study at ICT Mahidol focused on exchanging knowledge regarding operations under the ASEAN University Network (AUN) framework covering concepts, processes, and mechanisms for driving educational quality development. Assistant Professor Dr. Jidapha Kraisang, Assistant Dean for Curriculum Development, presented ICT Mahidol’s approaches and experiences in AUN operations and provided opportunities for visiting faculty to exchange opinions and practices related to educational quality assurance.
Afterwards, the group traveled to the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Salaya, to study quality assurance and workflow management. They were welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Somsiri Rungomrat, Deputy Dean for Quality Development; Assistant Professor Dr. Thirawan Chuotaleng, Deputy Dean for Student Development; and Associate Professor Dr. Sasithara Nuampa, Deputy Dean for Human Resources, at Chantana Nilvarangoon meeting room, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University.
The study at Faculty of Nursing focused on exchanging knowledge regarding the design, management, and continuous improvement of workflows, as well as support systems for quality assurance operations to enhance efficiency and promote organizational development towards excellence. Executives and staff of both institutions exchanged opinions, experiences, and wide-ranging quality operations strategies. This was a valuable opportunity to learn management approaches from an experienced entity and to broaden perspectives on quality assurance system development, workflow design, and organizational driving under international standards.
