🏆 IT Students of Lat Krabang Win Silver Medal Award “Super AI Engineer Season 6” Developing AI Skills into High-Competency Personnel

Congratulations to Mr. Thanaphat Chaemthet, a 3rd-year undergraduate student majoring in Information Technology, School of Information Technology, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, on the occasion of receiving the Silver Medal Award from the “Super AI Engineer Season 6” project under the AI Workforce Development program organized by the Artificial Intelligence Association of Thailand (AIAT).

The award ceremony was held during the event “Super AI Engineer: The 6th National Workforce Transformation” on September 3, 2026, at SCBX NEXT TECH, 4th Floor, Siam Paragon Shopping Center. The event was honored by Dr. Panpemsak Aruni, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, who presided over the opening ceremony, delivered a keynote speech on “Human Capital and Thailand’s Opportunities,” and presented medals and certificates to the participants.

“Super AI Engineer Season 6” operates under the concept of “Digital Workforce Transformation,” aiming to develop the country’s digital workforce with AI knowledge and skills. Participants learn to apply AI technology at work and meet industry needs, focusing on developing personnel as AI Model Developers and AI Engineers through intensive learning processes including theoretical study, hands-on practice, hackathon competitions, and project development based on real industry challenges.

For the Super AI Engineer Season 6 competition, there were more than 10,000 applicants nationwide. After the selection and skill development process, 157 candidates proceeded to Level 2 and 156 to Level 3. Participants receive continuous AI skill training to prepare them as high-competency AI personnel.

This time, Mr. Thanaphat Chaemthet, a student from the School of Information Technology, KMITL, successfully completed the training and skill development program and was certified as an “Advanced AI Engineer, Silver Medal level” under the high-competency personnel development and AI model developer project that aligns with digital industry employers’ needs. The certificates and medals were awarded on September 3, 2026.

This success reflects the dedication in learning and developing AI skills of students from the School of Information Technology, KMITL, as well as their ability to apply technological knowledge through hands-on practice and learning from real challenges. It also demonstrates the potential to become AI personnel who can create and develop technology to meet future industry and societal demands.

The Super AI Engineer project is an important platform for developing Thailand’s AI workforce through collaboration among education, government, private sectors, and others to produce AI-skilled personnel and support the development of the country’s AI ecosystem. It also drives Thailand’s transition from a technology user to a developer and innovator of Deep Tech.
