

Congratulations to Mr. Pakorn Supasaksutathat, a master's student in Artificial Intelligence for Business Analytics at the School of Information Technology, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, for securing project funding worth 2.6 million THB from the Social Innovation, Urban and Community Innovation program organized by the National Innovation Agency (NIA). This project was selected as one of the finalists from over 300 teams who submitted projects. The official scholarship awarding ceremony was held on March 28, 2025, at the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization).Â
Project âZero Food Waste by Wasty AI SparkâThis project was initiated by Mr. Pakorn and has been continuously developed since before entering graduate studies. It has received additional support in knowledge and project development during the AI for Business Analytics program at the School of Information Technology, KMITL. Currently, the project collaborates with SOS Thailand Foundation (SCHOLARS OF SUSTENANCE | A Food Rescue & Environmental Foundation) to utilize AI technology to reduce food waste and redistribute quality surplus food to those in need through an AI Avatar named âWasty,â which acts as an intermediary connecting donors, volunteers, and the community efficiently, transparently, and promptly.
This project operation is advised by a prestigious advisory board with extensive knowledge and expertise in various fields, providing consultation and academic recommendations to elevate the concept into practical implementation. One of the advisors is Assistant Professor Dr. Tatsanai Ploysuwan, a faculty member of the School of Information Technology, KMITL.
